How to cook Sticky Honey Garlic Shrimp Pasta

  1. boil a pot of salted water (about 1 tbsp of salt) and cook pasta according to package instructions.
  2. while your water boils, whisk agave nectar, coconut aminos, lemon juice, & garlic together. to a plastic baggy, add de-shelled shrimp and HALF of the liquid mixture to a large plastic baggy and marinate shrimp for 30 minutes minimum
  3. to a large, no-stick pan set to medium-high heat, add butter.  drain shrimp (do NOT rinse) and add to pan with melted butter.  season shrimp with garlic salt and cracked black pepper as it cooks. cook for 2 minutes on either side, being careful not to overcook!
  4. remove shrimp from pan.  add last tbsp of butter along with sliced mushrooms and cook them down halfway, about 2-3 minutes. add cooked, drained pasta to your pan along with the remaining sweet liquid mixture. toss and coat well as it thicken slightly.  now add the shrimp back into the pan and combine everything once more (large tongs work best.)
  5. garish with green onions and serve!
